Day Four

This is our last day on the work sites! Everyone was pumped to try and get as much work done as possible today!

Students worked so hard and some of them didn’t want to stop! Reflecting on the week’s work with one another, it is so humbling and cool to think of what God did this week both in the work sites and also in our hearts.

For dinner tonight, we had a grill out at a local park in which all of the community members were invited to! It was a great way to say goodbye to Rosedale and all of our friends we had made there!

Tonight was also the climax for the video series that was being shown all night. The theme of the week was “Shattered” and tonight we got to find out why. The illusionist that we had been watching all week did his final act: walking on thousands of pieces of shattered glass, twice; with no protection.

He shared will the audience his intense fear of glass and how it left him paralyzed at times. He also shared that the only way to be set free from your fears was to conquer them. After conquering his fear, we were challenged to write our own fears, something that we were holding on to, something that held us in bondage down on a small mirror and to shatter it and give it up to God.

The sound of shattering glass and even more, the shattering of lies, deception, counterfeits, and bondage was a wonderful sound and a fantastic picture of what Jesus did for us when he died on the cross.

“There is power in the name of Jesus. There is power in the name of Jesus. There is power in the name of Jesus. To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain.”

In Christ,
